It seems like they usually have the best deals out there and lately they've been pushing a points rebate system, which I have not tried yet. This was the first time I had used hotels.com and have to say that it has the easiest navigation of any of the sites i've used in the past like expedia, hotwire, cheaptickets, etc. thumbs way up!
